ASTRA
I'm pretty stoked on this one, I've been trying to get Astra on the show since the first time I saw them last year with Earthless. They didn't disappoint. a 45 minute set comprised of exactly two songs. If you can imagine digging on Pink Floyd crossed with Black Sabbath, Yes, and Magma, you're on the road to Astra. There's an interview following the set.
One more thing, you'll notice it's still hosted on Google Video- I tried to put it on Vimeo four or five times and it just wouldn't recognize it no matter what format I put it in. Then I tried Stage6.com and it wasn't compatible with my Mac. I'm still researching better quality options for the video. I'm open to ANY suggestions.

Episode Seventeen: Great Northern, AGAIN!! Episode 17: Great Northern... AGAIN!They're so nice, I thought they had to be on here twice. This was filmed at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, CA. This time I used my newer, nicer videocamera, and the episode is more casual than the last time they were on, not so much an interview as just hanging out. There's a couple times you can tell it's shot with two video cameras, because I used Davey Latter's also, but I can't edit two cameras too well with iMovie. |

Two new episodes: Earthless and Satisfaction!! Earthless give an interview and perform the masterpiece, Sonic Prayer in its entirety.Bummer the Ken Club decided to not have any lights on. I tried to compensate...but iMovie doesn't dig 51 minute songs as much as I do so I had to edit most of this in Quicktime Pro. The sound is pretty decent until the last couple minutes when Mario is raging full on and then the snare distorts a little bit. for fans of: Led Zeppelin, Pelican, Neurosis SatisfactionThis fantastic band brings strong seventies infused melody to create a unique indie sound that's harder to get out of your head than it is to explain which obviously is hard because it's caused me to write this mind numbing run on sentence that really is too long and making me feel kind of weird and itchy. for fans of: E.L.O, Smile, Emitt Rhodes, Supertramp |

They're at off the record for $3.25 (sorry) or buy them from me by emailing puntmedia@aol.
